Alda is a publication about motherhood. All content, articles, texts, poetry, art, photography and interviews are made by mothers and celebrate women at this point in their lives. Women struggle between the reality of motherhood and expectations of society, originated by the idea of a “perfect mother.” Alda fights against the objectification of motherhood, disregarding of female experiences and silenced voice of the mother. Mothers are put into the spotlight, making a place for voices and stories to be heard. The design is inspired by set of rules based on having a baby, from paper choises to font treatment.
